The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG-LA) Conference was well attended by ~ 1,500 Private Equity, Investment bankers, financing sources and service professionals. The Capital Connection was the focal point of getting to know all the various capital and services providers. Networking was robust as expected. There was a line-up of quality speakers, including retired Senator Christopher Dodd, culminating with the main event: an informal interview setting with President George W. Bush. This was a very interesting and rare discussion in which “W” was relaxed. He opened up on many issues relating to his presidency, the current political and world environment, and his new hobby, oil painting.
