CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – October 21, 2013 – Britt Terrell, Managing Director of Backbone Capital, attended the annual ACG conference in Chicago the week of Oct 21, 2013. As a participant in “Deal Source”, Britt held private meetings with many lower middle market PE funds, debt funds, family offices, pledge funds, independent sponsors and special situation funds in the Midwest. He used his time in Chicago well, reconnecting with finance and investment pros on their home turf.
The days were dense and the meetings were substance driven. The excellent networking paid off as new relationships were created and new funding sources confirmed. But it wasn’t all work and no play in the windy city. Britt was able to squeeze in a trip to the iconic Chicago Art Institute, as well as a personal city tour on the new urban Divvy bikes.
All in all, it was a very productive trip that yielded the promise of many future opportunities and deals!
