Blue Casa Telephone (BCT) engaged Britt Terrell/Backbone Capital in 2012 to arrange financing for add-on acquisitions. Britt worked well with the owners/CEO of BCT on two prior attempted acquisitions, on both of which BCT was outbid, however Britt was ready with the financing. On the 3rd attempt, BCT was successful in becoming the stalking horse in a 363 asset sale for the TNCI telecom assets in Jan-2013. Britt and the team arranged a very unique capital structure with the lender/investor, and on 4-30-13 BCT closed the acquisition with ~ $21M in capital commitment. Britt was key, and arranged for financial modeling, 3rd party diligence and created investor interest in what on the surface appeared to be a tough transaction that most investors shied away from. Great work by the whole team, and thanks to Britt and Backbone Capital on a job well done.
