Lion Equity engaged Backbone/Britt Terrell in late 2013 to help drive the financing of an add-on acquisition with our existing real estate media portfolio company. The transaction had complexities and we knew it would take more effort than usual, and our team needed to remain focused on our portfolio, and the acquisition itself. Britt did an excellent job, working with the Lion Equity team in preparation, arranging the lenders, obtaining term sheets, strategy, coordinating diligence and assisting negotiation of the documents to close. The process was challenging, and in the end, we had a successful closing. Britt did a fantastic job and Lion Equity would recommend Backbone/Britt to others — well maybe not our direct competition. There have been other prospect deals that Lion Equity continues to discuss with Backbone, and we look forward to our next transaction together.
