I have known Britt since 1996. I was CFO/COO for a telecom business at the time. He was the lender account executive for our business. We worked together for over 4 years and I was always pleased with the service level and impressed by his knowledge of the industry and more specifically our company needs.
In my current role as a consultant/restructuring CFO, I had a client company that needed a swift ABL financing which was difficult to place. After our initial calls to lenders, it was clear this would be even harder to place than expected. Negotiating terms, due diligence, documentation and funding took approximately one month. The more impressive part was the diligence occurred the last week of the year and the company was funded by mid-January. Britt/Backbone ran a tight process and the company ended up in a well financed position. Nine months later, the lending relationship is cooperative and all parties are content.
Backbone will continue to be a go-to source for debt financing for my clients. I have enjoyed the working with Britt over the years and during the most the recent transaction, and look forward to future financings with Backbone Capital.
